Corrective action plan
If the decision is taken to notify regulators and/or initiate a product withdrawal or recall, a corrective action plan will be needed.
The incident management (IM) team is responsible for producing and implementing this plan. Key actions include:
- seeking operational and financial approval for planned responses (as well as for any significant items not addressed in the plan)
- managing communications with the board and other company departments
- reviewing the plan's implementation to identify areas for improvement
- implementing appropriate procedures to deal with products that have been recalled/withdrawn
